A Definitive Edition Of Metal Gear Solid 5 Could Be Coming

It looks like Konami hasn’t completely given up on the Metal Gear Solid series as reports have emerged of a definitive edition for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain could be coming.

Metal Gear Solid 5 Collection

The report comes from Eurogamer who spotted a retail listing for the Metal Gear Solid 5 collection over at Amazon Japan and German retailer NetGames.

On the page, which has since been taken down, list a release date of October 30th, but could be just a placeholder date. While no details can be found on the page itself, Eurogamer speculates that the Definitive Edition could include Ground Zeroes and various DLCs, as well as the main game itself, The Phantom Pain.

Unfortunately, it seems unlikely that Konami would add any other additional content, including the incomplete ending that was cut from the main game due to time and budget constraints.

While it might not be the Metal Gear Solid news that fans were hoping, it’s might soothe the pain of having to watch Konami monetize the series with Pachinko machines.
