In Caretaker, you’re an investigative journalist who is hungry for a flashy news story. You heard the news of a caretaker in an industrial facility who has gone insane and killed all of his co-workers. An urban legend has surfaced that this caretaker has returned. Aiming to uncover this myth, you set forth to the facility to begin your investigation.

The visual variety of Caretaker chapters are closely linked with the narrative arch of the game. The environments will reflect the dangerously insane mind of the caretaker. As you travel to the lower basements, the environment will grow progressively more disturbing and twisted, reflecting the ever increasing madness of the depths of the caretakers mind.

As an investigative journalist, every piece of clue you find regarding the background story will be more rewarding to you and will also help in puzzle solving. The more you explore the environments, the more you will experience the criminally insane mind of the caretaker, creating a metaphysical connection between you and the caretaker and causing you to experience a whole plethora of hallucinations. All narrative experiences in this game will not be told via cut-scenes or voice-overs, rather through carefully placed environmental clues for you to uncover and explore.

Throughout your adventure, you will not be alone. The caretaker does not look kindly upon trespassers. If you sense or hear anything, it’s best to run and hide. Try not to get caught. You wouldn’t like it.
