Allison Road Is P.T. Inspired Horror On Kickstarter

When Silent Hills was pronounced dead cancelled, fans of the horror series were evidently devasted by the news from Konami. So much so, that they even created a petition to bring the series back to life with developer Hideo Kojima and moviemaker Guillermo Del Toro. Alas, it was not to be.

What’s more, Konami’s attempt to erase the Silent Hills game from existence includes removing the P.T. demo, a game that, on its own, is a very good horror game. So good, that a developer and fan of the game, Chris Kesler, decided to create a full game based on the demo, called Allison Road. And now, it’s on Kickstarter.

The fan-made spiritual successor to P.T. first made waves during the summer, after news of Silent Hills’ cancellation has made the rounds. Using the same first-person perspective with a house design that mimics the narrow corridors of P.T., Allison Road have managed to channel the scares that made P.T. much beloved by fans.

Set in a quaint middle-class house in Manchester, players must explore the eerie house and discover the truth about the ghost that haunts the haunted resident.

With a recently launched Kickstarter, Kesler and his newly expanded studio Lilith, aims to bring the game to completion by focusing full-time on developing the game. As stated on the Kickstarter page, Keslar and his studio are aiming for  £250k ($388,281) to finish the game and bring it to PC with Oculus Rift support by late 2016.

If they manage to reach the Kickstarter milestone of £300k, the studio will be able to focus on adding Mac and Linux ports with plans to develop it for Playstation 4 and Xbox One. Those that wants a copy of Allison Road can be Backer at the £15 to receive a Steam copy or £20 to secure a Playstation 4 or Xbox One copy.

Currently, Allison Road‘s Kickstarter campaign has managed to raise $20,942 out of its $388,281 Kickstarter goal. And with a deadline of 21st October, the studio will have plenty of time to reach their desired goal.
