During PAX West 2018, Electronic Arts and BioWare have announced that Anthem’s demo will be available on February 1, 2019.
BioWare will not be running public technical tests and the next demo will be the final version of the game. In addition to the demo, BioWare has released a new trailer, showcasing Anthem’s lively world and describing how personal stories are told within it.
Anthem will feature a distinctive combination of a shared, dynamic world along with a personal story and that despite being connected, the world remains unique to every player. Anthem’s Executive Producer Mark Darrah did provide some details about how microtransactions will probably be implemented in the game. He explained that loot boxes won’t be included in any way. Instead, there’ll be some cosmetic items which players can buy, but those skins will also be purchasable with in-game currency.
Anthem is currently scheduled for launch on February 22, 2019 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
