Bastion To Star In Next Overwatch’s Next Animated Short

In the lead up to Overwatch‘s release, fans were treated to amazing Pixar-style animated shorts for a number of characters from Overwatch. Unfortunately, not all were given a short and fans were hoping that Blizzard would continue to do the shorts for the remaining character.

Looks like you’ve got your wish fans because Blizzard has announced a new short for one of the most loved/hated characters in Overwatch, Bastion, that’s set to hit during Gamescom on August 18th.

Bastion will be getting his very own animated short with “The Last Bastion“. Here’s Blizzard giving us the details on the short:

“The Last Bastion tells the origin story of the inquisitive transforming robot, Bastion. In this episode, we follow the forgotten battle automatron as it unexpectedly reactivates after laying dormant in the wilderness for over a decade. Fascinated by its unfamiliar surroundings, the curious omnic begins to investigate, but quickly discovers its core combat programming may have a different directive…”

Blizzard will be showing the video at its Gamescom booth while simultaneously streaming online on their site. Check back with OffGamers on August 18th for the animated short when it gets uploaded.
