Biggest Changes We’ve Noticed About Genshin Impact’s New 2.0 Update

If there’s one thing that is worrisome about an online game is that its updates are discontinued. When it was teased that there will be a major update for Genshin Impact, we and most fans were extremely psyched for it.  And guess what, the update promises big changes.

So from the news that we are getting, here are some of the most impactful changes and additions coming to the game on the 21st of July.

Biggest Changes We’ve Noticed About Genshin Impact’s New 2.0 Update

New Characters and New Map Genshin Impact Update 2.0

A Brand New Map with New Characters

The Genshin Impact character roster is already filled with awesomely designed characters and the 2.0 update will add more to it.

Characters that will be added are:

Kamisato Ayaka

First available for the closed beta test, Ayako was revealed during the Genshin Impact live stream. She is one of the leading characters in the newly announced region, Inazuma, with a huge array of skills and abilities that focus on the Cryo element.

Sayu

This adorable character is a ninja inspired character that highly resembles a Japanese badger. Officially known as the ‘Mujina Ninja’, she primarily masters the Anemo Claymore skillset. Passively, she grants her allies the ability to sneak up on in-game animals without raising any alarms.

Yoimiya

Yoimiya is like Ayaka, a character that is related to the Inazuma region, meaning that these two characters might have a special relationship that we will find out more about when the update officially drops. But what we know so far is that, Yoimiya mains a bow and is a Pyro character. Generally, Pyro characters are well-received due to their combat abilities, so we have high expectations for Yoimiya when it comes to battles.

Plus, there is also wind circulating around social media and fan pages that there will also be new islands to be explored, mainly teased on the Version 1.6 Special Program. Islands include:

Watatsumi Island

Description states, “Plants and trees grow densely over Watatsumi Island. Their color is distinct for those in other islands”.

Tsurumi Island

Description states, “A mysterious island enshrouded with fog. No one has set foot here in many long years”.

Seirai Island

Description states, “An island where some disaster seems to have occurred. Its center is consumed by an eternal storm”.

The introduction of these new areas and characters is indeed a breath of fresh air, because to be honest, as much as the existing characters are engaging, we have already become too accustomed to it.

A batch of new characters and location is just what the game needs to spruce things up.
