Fans of the original DOOM will be delighted to hear that the original creators John Romero and Adrian Carmack are teaming up again to unveil their latest project. A new FPS called BLACKROOM
Along with the announcement, Romero and Carmack launched the Kickstarter for BLACKROOM for funding the action-packed FPS.
BLACKROOM (if fully funded) will launch on PC/Mac with a winter 2018 release window. The game will consist of a single-player campaign with multiplayer co-op and deathmatches. It will also feature dedicated servers and be fully moddable to create custom maps and campaigns.
Romero and Carmack explained that the goal behind BLACKROOM is to bring the classic feel of FPS while still allowing for flexibility by giving the modders the freedom to fully mod the game.
The goal for the Kickstarter project is set at $700,000 and still has 31 days left to reach its goal, which should be more than enough time for Romero and Carmack to reach their funding.
