Activision revealed that 2019’s Call of Duty game will feature a new campaign.
During the company’s quarterly earnings call, Activision’s president Rob Kostich, said the upcoming game will feature an entirely new campaign, a huge and expansive multiplayer world, and some fun co-op gameplay.
Activision’s CFO, Dennis Durkin, adds that the game will appeal broadly to both existing and new fans and that it represents a great step forward in the franchise that is also rooted in some of the franchise’s most important history. Additionally, the company does not expect sales of their 2019 Call of Duty being as strong as 2018’s Black Ops 4 when discussing 2019 projections.

Although Activision had a record year in 2018, Activision COO Coddy Johnson stated that the company is laying off around 800 employees, or approximately eight percent of its workforce.
