Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has added loot boxes in its latest update.
Black Ops 4’s loot boxes doesn’t only contain cosmetics, but signature weapons that comes with an XP boost which could affect the game play experience for many. For those who are willing to pay for the crates, signature weapons allows them to gain XP more quickly and hence, gain the upper hand when it comes to game progression. These loot boxes are known as Reserve Crates and it’s priced at $1.99 for each crate which contains 200 COD Points. Players could also gain Reserve Cases which include a single item, by in-game grinding multiplayer or Blackout. Redditors have expressed their frustration, pointing out that it will now take them longer to get Reserve gear if they are not willing to spend.
It’s also worth noting that players have paid $60 for the base game alone. On top of that, some players have bought the season pass for a hefty $49.99. These Reserve Crates are the latest addition to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s present microtransactions.
