Call of Duty: Warzone’s Bunkers have been opened! Phones now speak in Russian

The secret bunker doors present in Call of Duty: Warzone since its launch can finally be opened, following Tuesday’s game update. Watch the bunker opening video here:

The mysterious locked doors have taunted players since Call of Duty: Warzone’s release in March, with users unable to successfully interact with their keypads and the game’s developers offering no instruction for what to do with them.

Other intriguing items such as telephones and computers have been littered around the Warzone game map since launch. Players are prompted to interact with these items, but seemingly without any effect. Since last month players noticed a new Red Access Card dropping from Legendary Crates. However, they were not able to use the item until now.

Following Tuesday’s Call of Duty: Warzone update, players have discovered that the bunker doors now open with the use of the Red Access Card or via defeating another player.

The doors reveal an underground room full of loot crates. However, there’s seemingly a second room hidden behind another locked door which players have so far been unable to open.

Infinity Ward included a cryptic message in Warzone’s latest patch notes, suggesting that yet more surprises could be coming in the future:

“Number station <redacted> is Protocol Yellow. Activate system <redacted&gt. <redacted&gt is inbound. Awaiting correct authorization.”

One potential secret could relate to the telephones hidden around Warzone’s map, which have seemingly started playing a message in Russian.
