Call of Duty: Warzone’s latest patch adds private battle royale games

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone are getting their last patch before the release of Black Ops Cold War, and unsurprisingly it’s light on changes. Outside of a few quality-of-life updates and some bug fixes, the biggest change is the addition of private Warzone matches so you and your friends can have Verdansk all to yourselves.

Call of Duty: Warzone’s new private matches will allow players to start lobbies and play with only the people they invite. However, there is a minimum player count to start each match, since there’s only so much server space to go around. Each of the three Private modes has its own player requirement:

– Battle Royale — 50 players minimum
– Plunder — 30 players minimum
– Mini Battle Royale — 24 players minimum

Both battle royale and Plunder will allow players to play with squad variations if they want more players in each squad.
