CD Projekt Red Has Plans To Develop A New Witcher Game

Even though there will never be a Witcher 4, CD Projekt Red isn’t yet done with the Witcher series. The company intends to make more games based on the same setting in the Witcher universe, but without Geralt of Rivia.

Although CD Projekt Red did not provide a timeframe, the narrative of Geralt of Rivia had always been planned to be release in three separate games and were by definition a trilogy. For the time being, most of the fans assume that if there would be another game for The Witcher, it would likely be focusing around Ciri, Geralt’s daughter. Additionally, CD Projekt Red’s CEO Adam Kicinski has confirmed through an interview with Bankier that there will be another Witcher game but it won’t be called The Witcher 4.

The company’s current priority is the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077, and everyone has been waiting patiently for the game ever since the demo reveal at E3. It might be years before a new Witcher game arrives and the company is also rumored to be working on an unknown title that has a 2021 launch date.
