Final Fantasy’s spin-off kart racing game, Chocobo GP is coming to Nintendo Switch in March 10, 2022!
“Start your engines and get set for a new racing experience, featuring a roster of dozens of your favorite Chocobo characters, complete with their own unique abilities and variants. Equip Magicites and take out the competition as you drift through various familiar courses in online and offline multiplayer modes. Compete in tournaments and become the reigning champion of GP!” —— Official Game Description
Upon launch, there will be 5 racing modes available. To unlock new characters and courses, players will need to progress through Story Mode. If you want to test your racing skill online or locally with 2-player split screen, try out the Series Races where you will be competing thought 4 tracks in a row for the highest score. There will also be a Time Attack mode where you race against other player’s ghost and a Chocobo GP Mode where up to 64 players compete in an online knock-out tournament. If you like to create your own race tracks, Custom Races is also included, allowing you to change the rules, number of tracks and type of Magicite. You can even invite others to try it out.
A free version of Chocobo GP, Chocobo GP Lite will also be released with limited characters where players can try out the Story Mode Prologue and access to both local and online multiplayer (hosted by someone with full game). If you purchased the full Chocobo GP, any saved data in Lite will be carried over to it.
