The critically acclaimed turn-based tactical game, XCOM 2, will be making its debut for consoles in September this year with an announcement via twitter which includes the console announcement trailer.

The game will be available in standard and digital form with contents similar to the PC release last year. There will be a Digital Deluxe Edition available for purchase as well which includes the ‘Reinforcement Pack‘, a collection of three DLC packs, which are:
– Anarchy’s Children: This rebellion-themed content pack introduces more than 100 new exotic customizations for the entire arsenal of armors available to XCOM soldiers. These options are purely cosmetics and do not alter the stats of a soldier. (Available at launch)
– Alien Hunters: Transform the soldiers of XCOM into an elite alien hunting squad with impressive new weapons and armors to face off against new alien Rulers that will pursue your squad across an entire campaign. Additional cosmetics upgrade to soldiers and the Avenger are included, as well as a new epic mission where Central Officer Bradford leads a squad with the guidance of an old friend. (Available at launch).
– Shen’s Last Gift: Introduces a new soldier class with unique upgradeable weapons, armor and customization features, and a new narrative-driven mission and map. (Available at launch).
Working on the port will be new developer The Workshop, comprising of veterans from Call of Duty studio Treyarch. The Workshop will be working with Firaxis in making the port to consoles as identical to the PC version but with updated controls.
XCOM 2 is available now on PC and will come to consoles in September 2016.
