Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Survival Mode Is Valve’s Battle Royal Title

The battle royale genre is popular today as when you look at the success of over 20 million units of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds sold on the PC. When the game was made available on Steam, games such as Fortnite Battle Royale and Last Man Standing starts to capitalize on the Battle Royale genre as well.

According to a video posted by Valve News Network, Valve has started their hidden project called CS: GO Survival Mode. The Counter-Strike: Global Offensive’s previous patches dating back all the way from May 2016, there are numerous references within the shooter’s updates that have not been released like compound bows, bare-fisted combat, adrenaline shots, breach charges, MK2 grenades, and other features that are clearly pointing towards the battle royale genre.

Valve has yet to make any announcement on this, so it might take a while before the new game mode is available to players.
