Delay Officially Announced For No Man’s Sky
Sony has officially announced the delay for No Man’s Sky on all platforms. The new date for No Man’s Sky will now be August 9 for PlayStation 4 and PC.
The delay was confirmed by Sony to Kotaku and via a blog post on the PlayStation Blog by Hello Games founder, Sean Murray. On the blog, Murray wrote, “as we approached our final deadlines, we realized that some key moments needed extra polish to bring them up to our standards.”
“I have had to make the tough choice to delay the game for a few weeks to deliver something special.” The blog post also lists out the new release date for Europe and UK which will be August 10 and 12 respectively.
While it’s quite a letdown for No Man’s Sky to get delayed after being in development for so long, a few more weeks shouldn’t be too much to bear for gamers. Unfortunately, some gamers were not too pleased with the delay and have sent death threats to the developer, as posted by Murray on Twitter.
I have received loads of death threats this week, but don't worry, Hello Games now looks like the house from Home Alone #pillowfort

Thankfully, Murray and the folks at Hello Games are taking it with stride and are focusing on getting work done on No Man’s Sky. Let’s hope no more delay befalls on No Man’s Sky going forward.
No Man’s Sky will release on August 9 for PlayStation 4 and PC. Europe and the UK will receive the game on August 10 and 12.
