Destiny 2 Causes Spike in WoW Tokens Prices
Shortly after the announcement was made by Activision Blizzard that Destiny 2 is going to be playable completely and only through Blizzard launcher, the in-game gold price for WoW Tokens briefly surges to an all-time high in both Europe and North America servers.
WoW Tokens can be used to buy game time, in-game items for World of Warcraft, and also redeemable for Blizzard Balance. Players with plenty of World of Warcraft gold could practically get Destiny 2 for free, by converting their gold into WoW Tokens, exchange it for Blizzard Balance and then use it to purchase Destiny 2.
The Blizzard Balance is also usable on other Blizzard games, character services, lootboxes, and more.
Prices of in-game gold often fluctuates based on supply and demand in the market. Once the news broke out, WoW Tokens price spiked briefly because players were well aware that they could purchase Destiny 2 at a much cheaper rate or they could get the game at no additional cost with Blizzard Balance. At the time of writing, the price for the tokens settled back to normal now.
