Rumors have been circulating that the successor to the OnePlus 2 might be releasing in April. The OnePlus 3 was initially forecasted by insiders to be released on April 7 but that didn’t happen but now it seems that it’ll be likely to release at the end of April instead.
Christian Post reported that the OnePlus 3 is aiming for a Q2 release which sets the timeline between April and June this year. Though at the moment, the Chinese company has not offered any official announcement.
As for the specs, GSM Arena claims that the OnePlus 3 will house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, 4GB of RAM with 64GB of storage or 3GB of RAM with 16GB Storage. It will also sport a 5MP and 13MP for its front and back camera respectively, all in a 5.5-inch display and a 3,500mAh battery.
The image leaks from Mobile Dad also shows the design of the OnePlus 3 with a slim and smooth surface, similar to Apple’s current iPhone Plus models.
Given that OnePlus phones are sold at a mid-range price but with flagship specs, could the OnePlus 3 be the contender to the recently released iPhone SE? We’ll find out when OnePlus 3 launches.
