Diablo III is heading to Nintendo Switch, as reported by Forbes earlier by mistake. The article that was supposedly to be posted at a later date has been deleted though.
Nintendo will be offering Diablo III: Eternal Collection bundle that will cost $59.99, which contains the Reaper of Souls and Rise of the Necromancer expansions along with other content. Additionally, exclusive in-game items such as Ganondorf-styled cosmetic armor set, a Tri-Force portrait frame, and a Cucco pet will be available too.
According to Polygon, it takes over 15 years for Blizzard to finally launch a game on a Nintendo console. In February, Diablo III was first rumored to be coming to Nintendo’s latest console when Blizzard posted a brief clip on Twitter of a Diablo nightlight getting switched off. Many fans believed it was a clear indication that Blizzard was working on porting Diablo 3 to Nintendo Switch. The article also mentions that players will be able to enjoy Diablo III’s dungeon through various options. The rpg game is playable with four players in a local co-op on a single Switch, along with the ability to connect up to four separate Switch devices locally to play together, and support for the upcoming Nintendo Switch Online service to play online.
Diablo III for the Nintendo Switch will launch later this year in 2018.
