Valve’s Dota Underlords is now playable on Steam and it’s free.
This is the Valve version of the popular Dota 2 mod, Dota Auto Chess, a turn-based strategic battle game where players try to dominate the city of White Spire. Players can hire a crew and destroy their rivals in this new strategy battler set in the world of Dota. The current beta season comes with crossplay on PC and mobile. The best part is that player’s profile in Dota Underlords is shared across all devices – PC, iOS, and Android.
Auto chess-style games requires players to build their decks, buy and upgrade units, place them onto a fixed grid, and let them automatically fight in rounds against other players till one unit remains. All characters are currently available to all players along with microtransactions that are sold in the form Battle Pass which consist of cosmetics.
Additionally, Valve’s Dota Underlords also comes with sophisticated AI with 4 levels of difficulty, offline play is a great place for new players to learn the ropes of this tactical strategy game.
