It looks like another Nintendo staple will be joining the NX’s lineup when it releases. Dragon Quest X, the Dragon Quest MMORPG will officially be ported to the Nintendo NX, in addition to the upcoming PlayStation 4 port.
Reported by Dualshockers, Dragon Quest X on the Nintendo NX will be version 4.0, as told via an interview with Dragon Quest X Producer Yosuke Saito and Director Chikara Saito. Currently, the game is on version 3.3 in Japan and have gone through numerous changes ever since its original release back in 2012.
While it’s been four years since the game’s been released, Dragon Quest X has yet to make an international release to western audiences with the last mention of a worldwide release was four years ago. At this point, gamers might see the release of Dragon Quest XI in Japan before they get to play Dragon Quest X.
Dragon Quest X is available in Japan for Wii, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, PC, and Android. It’s scheduled to launch on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo NX in the future. No word on an international/western released yet.
