E3 2021 Day 3 Highlights: Take Two and Capcom Takes the Stage

We are halfway through E3 2021 and we have more news from Capcom and Razer. You can watch the livestream here.

The newly released Resident Evil; Village was a hit, and Capcom has announced a DLC, “Resident Evil Re:Verse” is set to launch in July 2021 and it is an online multiplayer game.

Capcom confirmed that Monster Hunter Stories 2 will be getting a free trial version on June 25 that will contain a save-transfer feature to the full game. “Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin” will be released on Nintendo Switch on July 9, 2021.

Monster Hunter Rise will have its first collaboration with Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin on June 18 with a Tsukino Palico layered armor set as an Event Quest Reward. The second crossover will happen on July 9 when players with save data from Monster Hunter Stories 2 will unlock the “Rider” hunter layered armor set. On June 24, Rise’s 3.1 Update will go live and will feature DLC and event quests, including the ability to turn your Cohoot Owl Buddy into a baby penguin. July and August will see two more “Capcom Collabs” with DLC and Event Quests.

“The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles” received a new story trailer and an extended look at gameplay. In the footage, we are introduced to new gameplay features – Dance of Deduction and Summation Examination. Dance of Deductions start with Detective Herlock Sholmes making deductions about potential ne’er-do-wells. Following his speech, Ryunosuke and Susato will have to point out the flaws in Sholmes accusations. Together, they will do a metaphorical dance to discover the truth. Summation Examination will see players examining the jurors statements and find conflicting ones and sway the jury in your favor. “The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles” will be released on July 27, 2021.

In this section we will be covering gaming products by Razor. Razer’s Predator 27 gaming monitor is a new, 27-inch gaming monitor that delivers a 165Hz refresh rate. But the standout feature of the Razer Predator 27 is its THX-certified, a first for gaming monitors. This certification means the monitor will provide ultra-high-quality visuals and reproduces 95% of the DCI-P3 color space. The Razer Predator 27 will support the Chroma RGB lighting, a 90-degree tilt, wide port options, and will be compatible with Vesa Mounts if you plan not to use the stand that comes with the monitor. The monitor itself is available for pre-order.

The gaming laptop features Nvidia RTX 30-series graphics with three GPU options: RTX 3060, RTX 3070, and RTX 3080. The ports include two USB Type-A and 2 USB Type-C ports and one HDMI 2.1 port that supports up to 4K resolution at 120Hz.

Lastly, Razer announced the USB-C 130W GaN charger, a compact charger that doubles as a device you can use to charge both your laptop or other specific tech products. Razer claims it is 56% smaller than MSI’s AC Power Adapter and 48% smaller than Ankers Atom PD4, with the product small enough to supposedly fit in your pocket.

It features two USB-C ports with 100W of power and two USB-A ports with 18W of power, meaning you can charge up to four devices at once with the proper cables that support the charging brick. At 130W of power, Razer says the charger delivers fast charging when four devices are plugged into the brick.
