Battlefield 5’s battle royale mode Firestorm is now live for all players on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
Firestorm is a 64-player battle royale mode that allows players to fight others for survival across land, sea, and air. The update also comes with a new Halvoy map that is considered to be the largest Battlefield 5 map ever created. The update is free for all Battlefield 5 players, and Firestorm allows them to fight, scavenge, and survive as a deadly ring of fire encloses the map. However, players must own the base game in order to play it.
Here’s the highlight of the update:

[list_item]- 64 players in 16 squads land on Halvøy. It’s 10 times the size of Hamada and the largest map in Battlefield history. [/list_item]
[list_item]- Loot sources include: floor loot, strongboxes, safes, supply drops, resupply points and Vehicle Lockups.[/list_item]
[list_item]- Weapon tiers include Common, Rare and Epic. Soldiers can carry two primaries and one sidearm. Backpacks expand inventory space.[/list_item]
[list_item]- Players have four Gadget slots for things like throwables, healing, armor and launchers.[/list_item]
[list_item]- Acquire vehicles by capturing Vehicle Lockups and opening two valves to release the craft. There are 17 vehicles total.[/list_item]
[list_item]- Reinforcements can be signaled through special Flare Guns.[/list_item]

In Firestorm battle royale, all players will start on the ground, with nothing except a knife in hand as they explore buildings for weaponry, armor plates, special weapons, throwables and health. Players deploy on the map at any location they choose and survive for as long as possible on a shrinking playing field. The last player or Squad standing claims victory in the match.
