Elden: Path to the Forgotten gets Switch and Steam Gameplay Trailer and Release Date
Top-down pixel art action game Elden: Path to the Forgotten will launch on Nintendo Switch and PC-via Steam on July 9th, with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions to follow. Check out the gameplay trailer below:
Elden: Path to the Forgotten is developed by a single developer since 2015 and features a medieval cosmic setting with an emphasis on storytelling through non-traditional methods. The game is created in a pixelated style and has players battle against enemies and bosses straight out of Lovecraftian lore. Players will be able to use a variety of weapons and spells to combat any situation they approach, and they explore the strange environment.
The game’s approach to non-traditional storytelling uses indirect methods. Elden is a character who is struggling with entering adulthood, and from there, his world becomes a darker place. This ends up forcing him to face off against forgotten evils as well as returning ones.
