Everything Announced in Tokyo Game Show 2022

Tokyo Game Show 2022 revealed lots of updates and announcements on some of the Japanese developers’ highest-profile games. Take a look and see what’s announced during TGS 2022.

Tekken 8 Reveal Trailer

Following the faceoff between Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima, the classic fighting game series is finally getting a new entry. There is no release date shared, but it is known that the game will be releasing on Steam, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.

Street Fighter 6 Roster Revealed

Street Fighter 6’s launch day roster will feature 18 characters including the classics like Ryu and Chun-Li. There will also be new challengers who are custom character creator for the game’s World Tour mode. It is planned to release in 2023 on Steam, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 4 and 5.

Resident Evil: Village | Winters’ Expansion Gameplay & Trailer

The upcoming Winters’Expansion includes DLCs of Shadow of Rose, The Mercenaries: Additional Orders and Third Person Mode. From the Shadow of Rose will also mark the last chapter for Ethan Winters who has been the main character of the Resident Evil series for the last two entries. The expansion will be arriving on October 28.

Like a Dragon 8 Announcement Trailer

Yakuza series has always been named Like a Dragon in Japan, and now, following the localized version of future games, the future games will all be branded as Like a Dragon. In this series, Kazuma Kiryu will be returning to the game following with Yakuza: Like a Dragon heroes, Koichi Adachi and Yu Nanba. It will be released in 2024 on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and 4.

The Yakuza’s samurai spinoff, Like a Dragon: Ishin! is also finally getting a western release while another spinoff named Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will be releasing in 2023. Starring Kazuma Kiryu, it will be a canon story set during the events of Yakuza 7, explaining how Kiryu ends up in Like a Dragon 8.

Sonic Frontiers | Super Sonic Boss Fights Detailed

In Sonic Frontiers, Super Sonic will be seen a lot throughout the open-zone areas. Finally releasing on November 8, the game will be available on Steam, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and 4.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Free Title Update 2

The second title update for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is here with three new monster including the Violet Mizutsune, Flaming Espinas, and Risen Chameleos. A new update launching on September 29 will also bring new layered weapons and Qurios investigations.

ONE PIECE ODYSSEY Release Date Trailer

An original story written by the author of the One Piece manga, Eiichiro Oda, One Piece Odyssey will be arriving in the west on January 13, 2023. It will be available on on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and 4.

Suikoden I & II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars Announcement Trailer

Konami RPGs Suikoden I & II is getting a HD Remaster. It will be released in 2023 as a packaged collection named uikoden I&II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars. The game will be available on Steam, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

It is also said that Konami would like to make for games for the Suikoden franchise. There will also be revivals of classic franchises including Parodius, Pooyan, Star Soldier, The Maze of Galious and Twinbee.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Gameplay Demo

The New Soulslike game, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has gotten a demo on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The demo will only be available on September 16 to 25, 2022. Despite the demo being only available on two console, the game is planned to be released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Steam too.

The Awakener: Risen Trailer

A new RPG brought to you by Taner Games, The Awakener: Risen puts you in a medieval world where demons and dragons exist. Choose between four classes: Warrior, Lancer, Soldier and Sword Dancer, and end the thousand years war. The game will be released in 2023 on PlayStation 5 and 4.

Exoprimal Story Trailer

Capcom’s upcoming dinosaur survival game has gotten a new story trailer showing Exofighters wearing powerful Exosuits to eliminate the threat. Exoprimal will be coming in 2023 and available on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and 4.

DEATHLOOP Xbox Launch Trailer

Xbox announced that DEATHLOOP is coming to Game Pass, Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox All Access on console and PC on September 20. A newly extended ending will also be added into the game.
