Every July 7th is celebrated by Bungie fans as Bungie Day and this year, one fellow fan decided to show his love for Bungie’s shared world shooter Destiny with a fanmade 2D sidescroller that’s surprisingly fun to play.
The project is a work of Brenton Whitwell who posted the game on Reddit. Dubbed Project Tiger (which was Destiny‘s original codename), the game is a short 2D platformer that lets you control a Guardian and shoot down shanks before facing off with Sepiks Prime at the end.

If you’re in need of a new Destiny fix, the free game should keep you over for a bit before the Rise of Iron expansion drops in September. You can check out Whitwell’s post on Reddit on how to download the game for free on PC and Mac.
Destiny is available now for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. The latest expansion, Rise of Iron, will launch on September 20, 2016, and will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One only.
