Explore Michonne’s Story With Telltale’s The Walking Dead Mini-Series

Telltale Games’ loves making The Walking Dead games and it’s not so surprising given that Season 1 of The Walking Dead game was a critical and commercial success with its deep storytelling and gut-wrenching player-driven choices. Now, Telltale Games has revealed the next installment of The Walking Dead mini-series with Michonne on the spotlight.

One of the most important and much-adored character of The Walking Dead universe, Michonne, the katana-wielding badass will be making her Telltale Games debut when The Walking Dead: Michonne comes to major platforms on February 2016. Announced during The Game Awards 2015, The Walking Dead: Michonne will follow the titular character as it bridges the gap between the time she picks up her iconic Katana and meets up with Rick Grimes.

An official announcement from Telltale Games gives us more details about what players can expect from this mini-series.

Leading publisher of digital entertainment Telltale Games and Robert Kirkman, the Eisner Award-winning creator and writer of The Walking Dead for Skybound Entertainment, announced today that The Walking Dead: Michonne – A Telltale Games Series will premiere this February in a three-episode event.

Stepping into the lead role of Michonne, award-winning actress Samira Wiley (Orange is the New Black) will portray the iconic character from the comic book series haunted by her past and coping with unimaginable loss and regret. The story explores her untold journey during the time between issues #126 and #139. Through this three-episode Telltale Games series, players will discover what took Michonne away from Rick, Ezekiel, and the rest of her trusted group… and what brought her back.

Previously, Telltale Games has done one-off releases set in The Walking Dead universe with The Walking Dead: 400 Days, which served as a bridge between Season 1 and Season 2 of the game. As it is in Telltale’s games, The Walking Dead: MIchonne will following the comic’s universe rather than the TV version. Regardless of which version the game follows, players can expect plenty of gore and tough choices when the game comes out.

The Walking Dead: Michonne is set for release on February 2016 and will come to Android, iOS, Mac, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
