During E3 2016, big game titles such as God of War, Dead Rising 4, Days Gone, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, and many others got their spotlight during the big E3 press conferences. Unfortunately, this leaves smaller games left unnoticed throughout the entire event.
One particular game that was criminally overlooked is Abzu, a beautiful exploration game from Giant Squid, a developer led by Matt Nava who was the art director for Journey and Flower.
In Abzu, you play as a diver who explores the beautiful underwaters of the ocean, accompanied by sharks, dolphins, orcas, and all sorts of aquatic life.
The game itself focuses on the calming explorative side of games with a beautiful atmosphere and a soundtrack that’s sure to soothe any gamer. It a nice change of pace from the intense actions games that was a focus of E3.
Abzu will launch on PlayStation 4 and PC in August 2016.
