Avalanche Studios and their Just Cause franchise have been known to take action to extreme measures, and Just Cause 2 was basically the most over-the-top action game released by the studio. Fans of the series were expecting Just Cause 3 to at least match the intensity of the previous iteration. Instead, Avalanche Studios went above and beyond that, as evident by this insane 20-minute long gameplay demo by the people at LetsPlay.
Right off the bat, the wingsuit is being put into good use as Rico Rodriguez whizzes across the massive playground of Medici, the fictional Mediterranean island(s) and homeland to the titular hero. The inclusion of the wingsuit is definitely what will keep players messing around in Just Cause 3, just as the physics-defying grappling hook did in Just Cause 2. Plus, combining both the wingsuit and grappling hook together will result in moments that are definitely worth recording and share.
But fans of the series know that traversing large open areas in Just Cause 3 is merely the appetizer for the game. The meat-and-potatoes of the Just Cause series has always been the explosive, over-the-top, and crazy action moments that Avalanche Studios are known to put into the game. And they did not disappoint. From exploding bridges to toppling down infrastructures, the explosiveness of Just Cause 3 have been increased ten-fold compared to the last one.
While most gamers might be experiencing open-world fatigue by now, due to the overwhelming number of great open world titles released. This game should be in their radar because the explosive gameplay of Just Cause 3 is just too fun to miss out on!
Just Cause 3 is set for release on December 1st for Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC.
