Fan Recreated Silent Hill In Unreal Engine 4, Makes Others Lament Silent Hills

The day when Konami struck the death blow toward Hideo Kojima’s and Guillermo Del Toro’s collaboration for Silent Hills, was a day many survival horror fans will remember.

This particular fan wanted to give tribute to the Konami horror franchise by recreating Silent Hill using the Unreal Engine 4. While the results are quite good, it serves as a reminder of a game that will never see the light of day.

Despite being a short clip, it’s enough to show that if Silent Hills weren’t cancelled, we could all be looking forward to a current-gen survival by two visionaries of story-telling.

But, rather wallow away in sadness, we can at least look forward to the upcoming PlayStation title from Hideo Kojima, who promises an “AAA” action game in the future.
