Fans of Overwatch Investigate Hidden Sombra Clues In New Trailer

Let the conspiracies run wild! Overwatch fans are discovering clues in the Summer Games event trailer that could allude to the next hero joining the roster, the mysterious Sombra.

Eagle-eyed fans noticed that there was a hidden encoded message in one of the frames from the Summer Games trailer. The message (which you can see above) has been identified as a base64-encoded string that returns a salted string, which requires a password to decode. So far, no one has been able to figure out what the password could be.

However, that’s not the only thing that was spotted in the video. It seems a series of arrows pointing in certain directions can be found hidden in the background of some the levels in the video. Those directions don’t seem to appear in the actual in-game locations which led fans to believe this to be another secret message. One they have yet to decipher.

If you think that’s all there is to find in the Overwatch video, think again. Over at Reddit, some fans claim to have noticed Sombra, hiding in the Summer Games video during the Lúcioball segment. It kind of hard to see but given the character’s name is basically shadow in Spanish, it makes sense for the character to be hard to find.
