While the release day for Fallout 4 is inching closer and closer, Bethesda decided to make the wait even more unbearable by giving out the very limited Pip-Boy edition of Fallout 4 to some lucky YouTubers and sites such as IGN, Polygon, and the Verge. Behold the glory of the Pip-Boy which we will definitely use when playing Fallout 4.
When Fallout 4 was announced by Todd Howard in E3 2015, fans were already ecstatic that they’ll be getting the sequel to the much-beloved series in 2015. However, to further up the ante for fans’ anticipation of the game, Howard revealed the limited edition for Fallout 4 that comes with a working Pip-Boy, which then can be used as a second-screen experience for the game.
Quoted as being a “stupid gimmick” by Howard himself, this stupid gimmick seems to be well received by fans as orders for the PIp-Boy edition were sold out almost instantaneously. Bethesda had to restock the limited edition a number of times, and still they were sold out immediately. With the asking price of $120, it speaks volumes to how devoted Fallout fans are to the series.
