Five Nights At Freddy’s RPG Is Now Free To Download

Five Night At Freddy’s, the horror franchise with sequels that matches Call of Duty on yearly releases, is letting players play the RPG iteration for free at Game Jolt. If you have not experienced the fiasco that is FNaF World, well, now you can do it for free!

Originally available on Steam, FNaF World was a surprise release by creator Scott Cawthorn, ahead of its original release date, similar to previous Five Nights at Freddy’s titles. The early release should have been a pleasant surprise to fans, but it turns out, fans weren’t happy with the turn-based RPG title.

For starters, the game wasn’t even close to finished, with terrible graphics (even on Five Nights at Freddy’s standards), missing menus, and the lack of information within the game.Needless to say, the game received a number of scathing reviews from those that purchased the game.

Ultimately, the game was pulled from Steam and Cawthorn issued a statement about the game’s removal. He stated, “even though the game had a ‘Very Positive’ rating with 87[%], I was not satisfied with the reviews and ratings it was getting.” Those that had purchased the game were entitled to a refund for the $9.99 game.

The re-release on Game Jolt comes with an updated version of the Five Nights at Freddy’s RPG. Cawthorn notes that the game has a “remodeled overworld and many other features”, with additional updates to come in the future. While the response has been positive from fans of the series, there are still less-than-stellar reviews from users saying that FNaF World is still not a good RPG, despite all the fixes.
