Fortnite’s Season 8 Adds Pirates, Ninjas And New Battle Pass

Fortnite season 8 is now live and just like previous seasons of the online shooter, the game’s map and gameplay experience has been altered in a huge way.

Season 8 brings new skins, gameplay changes and a brand new theme to the world’s most popular game. In the game’s latest update, a volcano has erupted on the island, creating new locations on the map with lava visible everywhere. The new season of Fortnite adopts a pirate theme, placing treasure chests and cannons around the island, and adding a huge pirate ship in one of the map’s brand new areas. Players can purchase the season 8 battle pass to unlock seven new skins, including three legendary outfits.

The best feature in season 8 update is the ability to ping your teammates like in Apex Legends. One of the ingenious ideas in Respawn’s Apex Legends is the ability to hit a button to ping your teammates, communicating clearly and easily in the game without the need of a headset and mic. It did not take long for Epic Games to embrace the concept, and players can now do exactly the same in Fortnite through its latest v8.00 patch update.

With just a push of a button, players can easily call out an enemy’s location, informing teammates of nearby loots and squad communications. In addition to new cosmetics and changes to gameplay experience, season 8 also adds a new battle pass that includes new emotes, pets, sprays and exclusive skins where players can unlock by completing Weekly Challenges and spending V-bucks.
