“Though shattered, it shall guide thee. Though fractured, it yet calls. Enact thy will. Become Lord. Seek the Elden Ring.” – Elden Ring.
Get ready, Tarnished! The Elden Ring beckons. Embark on a journey across Lands Between and discover untold tales by George R.R. Martin. Do you have what it takes to become the Elden Lord?
Crafted and written by the universally-acclaimed George R.R. Martin himself, the story direction of Elden Ring is expected to be as epic as his other creative works like A Song of Ice and Fire and A Song for Lya.
Based on the earlier trailers, the story will be fueled by the shattered Elden Ring that happened after the fall of Godwyn the Golden. Players will play as the Tarnished, individuals who lost the grace of the Erdtree and were consequently banished from the Lands Between. Following the shattering of the Elden Ring, the Tarnished are beckoned by lost grace to return to the Lands Between. The goal is to harness its power and claim the title of the Elden Lord.
Re-experience the legendary war in the Lands Between and bring back what is broken and divided in the name of the new Elden Lord.
Developed by FromSoftware, this will indicate that the game will be dark and deadly, just like Dark Souls or Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Players will be expected to die over and over again with each boss being more challenging as the game progresses.
One of the major changes that FromSoftware has added to the game is that there will be a map for navigation which may prove useful for players who hate losing their way in the vast universe of the Lands Between.
Multiplayer support will also be included where you can now link with other Elden Ring players where you can venture the Lands Between together.
What to Expect?
Like the combination of Christopher Nolan and Hans Zimmer, the collaboration of FromSoftware and George R.R. Martin will no doubt raise Elden Ring’s expectations off the roof as they both have huge creative successes in the past. Expect exhilarating BGMs as your fight your way through the Lands Between, against monsters and Demigods.
And after a delayed release, we can also safely assume that the developers have made it a point to deliver Elden Ring at peak quality where they are ensuring that all aspects of the game is fine tuned to perfection.
