Genshin Impact 1.6 Update – What We Know So Far

Are you waiting for the next Genshin Impact update like the rest of us? Do we get to explore new lands in the next big update? Read on to find out more.

When is the 1.6 Release Date?

The developers tend to release a big update every 5 weeks. It is most likely that the Genshin Impact 1.6 will be coming on the week of 7th June. The 1.5 update was released on 28th April, and has an Adventure Rank requirement of level 40 or higher to start the new Archon quest. So we can expect the new main questline to require equivalent or higher Adventure Rank.

What are the New Characters/Banners?

With the game nearing the time of update, there is a lot of rumors revolving two characters from the land of Inazuma, Kazuha and Yoimiya. We know that Kazuha is a sword-wielding Anemo character. He is the next five-star Anemo character since Xiao, and is capable of dealing heavy elemental damage.

Yoimiya is rumored to be a Pyro character wielding a bow, and is also a five-star character coming to the game. But looking at miHoYo’s past patterns of character release, we may see Yoimiya in update 1.7, and expect Klee’s rerun banner this time round.

Will there be New Regions to Explore?

With the new characters hailing from Inazuma, we can only assume that we get to explore Inazuma itself. There is not much to go on about this except that it is based on the Japanese culture judging by its name and building structure.
