If you’re a Genshin Impact fan, you’ve probably heard of Diona before. With update 1.5’s event ‘Beneath The Light of Jadeite’, players could get Diona for free after completing an event quest. Heck, check out the cool trailer from Genshin Impact’s official YouTube channel:

Who is Diona?
Diona is a bartender at the Cat’s Tail Tavern, which is ironic cause she doesn’t like alcohol at all. She makes the most impressive cocktails to the delight of her patrons and the annoyance of her own self. She is a Cryo user and the daughter of Draff – the hunter located in Springvale. Diona is usually used as a healer or support due to her healing cryo abilities.
She is a bow user that fires ice at enemies as a form of attack, so she could be of use even in long ranges. She forms an ice shield as a passive, and an AoE attack that heals team members whilst freezing enemies.
How to Unlock Diona’s Hangout Event?
Diona’s hangout event can be unlocked when you reach Adventure Rank 26 after the completion of the Archon Quest – Prologue: Act III Song of The Dragon and Freedom. Players will then have to complete daily commissions in order to be granted Story Keys.
Eight commissions will have to be completed in order to be granted one Story Key while you are only granted four daily commissions every day. The Hangout Event can be unlocked for two Story Keys, so make sure to come back and do your daily commissions!
Alternate Endings
As with all the Hangout Events, there are alternate endings for you to unlock that depend on your dialogue choices. Unlocking each ending also grants you specific rewards, so why not just do them all right? The endings and choices are as follows:
Ending 1: The Unfathomable Felines (Bad Ending)
This isn’t the best ending if you don’t enjoy hurting Diona’s feelings (simps, look away). Your choices will make you compare Diona to kittens and dish on her, so let’s get to it.
As you meet Margaret and talk to her during ‘The Cat’s Tail Bartender’, choose: “I’m here for the kitties…”
During ‘To Catch A Kitten’ choose these dialogues:
> “I’m an experienced climber.”
> “Use the cat toy.”
> “Well, he is really cute after all.”
> “Use the cat food.”
> “Maybe you should take a hint from him and do what he does.”
> “Does he like cat toys?”
> “Meow, meow…”
> “That actually might make more money.”
> “Why don’t we just go back together?”
All the kittens will be saved but this will trigger a sequence where Diona angrily walks back on her own.
Ending 2: Cat Party (Good Ending)
A good cute ending where you and Diona get to save some cats scattered around the city.
As you meet Margaret and talk to her during ‘The Cat’s Tail Bartender’, choose: “I’m here for the kitties…”
During ‘To Catch A Kitten’ choose these dialogues:
> “I’m an experienced climber.”
> “Use the cat toy.”
> “I think customers visit the tavern primarily for your cocktails.”
> “Use the cat food.”
> “Your specialty drinks attract a lot of attention already.”
> “Does he like cat toys?”
> “Alright, I’ll leave him to you.”
> “No one would know about these cats if it weren’t for your drinks.”
Now you’ll return to the tavern with the cats all over you, a very cute ending!
Ending 3: Diona’s Special (Good Ending)
This is the ending where you get Diona to make you a really good non-alcoholic cocktail. Note that you will be tasked to sneak around a Hillichurl camp, but it would be easier if you just fight them head-on. Ultimately though, it is up to you.
As you meet Margaret and talk to her during ‘The Cat’s Tail Bartender’, choose these dialogues:
> “I’m here to try some specialty drinks…”
> “A non-alcoholic beverage would be fine as well.”
> “I’d like the base to be more unique.”
As you go into the wilderness in search for ingredients during ‘A Special Base Drink’, choose these dialogues:
> “You want to make a drink… from that?”
> “I’ll defeat the monsters head-on.”
As you reach the ‘Shadow Over Dadaupa’ part, choose these dialogues:
> “Draff said he has found some, let’s ask him.”
> “(What’s going on?)”
> “Diona already has it.”
As you head back to Mondstadt, you’ll get your drink and unlock this new happy ending/memory.
Ending 4: I… Only Had… A Little (Neutral Ending)
In this ending, you’ll encounter a tipsy Draff which you end up giving some soup to in order to sober him up.
As you meet Margaret and talk to her during ‘The Cat’s Tail Bartender’, choose these dialogues:
> “I’m here to try some specialty drinks…”
> “A non-alcoholic beverage would be fine as well.”
> “I’d like the base to be more unique.”
As you’re looking for ingredients during ‘A Special Base Drink’, choose these dialogues:
> “You want to make a drink… from that?”
> “I’ll defeat the monsters head-on.”
During the ‘Shadow Over Dadaupa’ part, choose this:
> “I can deal with a few monsters. I’ll bring some of that herbal soup back.”
As you go through ‘Samachurl Herbal Soup’, choose these dialogues:
> “Got it right here.”
> “(Is this really drinkable…?)”
*Note: make sure to kill all nearby hilichurls as well, otherwise you might not be able to get the soup. In the end, Draff is forced to drink the disgusting soup and the new ending/memory will be unlocked.
Ending 5: The Ultimate Special (Neutral Ending)
The ending where Diona asks you to make a terrible drink for two guys as she doesn’t like the attention they’re giving her for her amazing mixing skills. But they disagree anyways, leaving Diona frustrated and resigned. A neutral ending compared to the rest.
As you meet Margaret and talk to her during ‘The Cat’s Tail Bartender’, choose these dialogues:
> “I’m here to try some specialty drinks…”
> “A non-alcoholic beverage would be fine as well.”
> “I’d like the flavoring to be more unique.”
As you go looking for special condiments for the drink with Diona during ‘Special Cocktailing Condiments’, choose these dialogues:
> “What are these…?”
> “I really need to wash my hands.”
> “How about trying a different way of making the drinks?”
> “(Is it me or was that a rehearsed speech?)”
As you start making the drinks during ‘Exchanging Pointers’, choose these dialogues instead:
> “(These two have been planning this all along.)”
> “(Put the whole Lizard Tail into the Dandelion Wine.)”
> “(Add all of the Slime Condensate into the drink.)”
> “(Add all of the Butterfly Dust and Fish Scales into the drink.)”
> “(Put the entire Lizard into the drink.)”
> “(Add a small amount of Slime Condensate, let settle, and stir…)”
> “(Pour a heap of Butterfly Dust).”
> “(Crush the Fish Scales first, and then add it with the mucus into the drink.)
> “(Is it really that bad?)”
> “(When did this guy come back?)”
The guys will blame you for the bad drinks rather than Diona’s skills and she gives up trying to convince them.
