After installing the Google Authenticator, players will need to enter a code displayed by the Google Authenticator smartphone app whenever they want to log in to the game. With the 2-Step Verification activated, players could protect their game account with both password and their mobile phone. Rainbow Six Siege’s patch notes also states that players are required to enable 2-Step Verification in order to compete in ranked matches.
