Honkai Star Rail’s Silver Wolf is a new character in the game’s very first update. The update adds a bit to the storyline and gives us some events, but Silver Wolf is who everyone keeps talking about because she’s off the charts.
A lot of players are calling her insane.
She’s a genius hacker who can edit the aether and change reality to meet her standards. Does it get any better than that?
We’re going to give you the scoop behind Silver Wolf, explain her build and history, and give you our list of the best characters to pair with her.
P.S. Be sure to top up with iTunes Gift Cards from OffGamers to make playing Silver Wolf even more fun.
What to Expect from Honkai Star Rail’s Silver Wolf?
Silver Wolf is so powerful because she makes everyone around her into an absolute beast of a player. Her ability to break through the enemy’s toughness and add debuffs is perfect when playing with someone like Sampo because it allows for higher damage over time (DoT) damage that can really wear the enemy down.
And you’ll learn a ton more about her story in the Punklorde Mentality Companion Mission, which will take you to Herta Station.
Silver Wolf is a member of the Stellaron Hunters and she views the world as a huge simulation, which she can manipulate in her favour. She’s known for her hacking prowess and being a 5-star Quantum character. She certainly hacks her desires into reality during gameplay.
She follows the Path of Nihility and you’ll have a blast playing her and learning how to master all of her abilities.
Mastering Silver Wolf’s Abilities in Honkai Star Rail
Basic Attack

Silver Wolf’s basic attack is a single attack that is best used when trying to focus on one enemy at a time. The attack deals 50% of the damage as Quantum damage, which is really beneficial because it will:
- Entangle the enemy.
- Delay the enemy’s attack.
You’ll want to basic attack early on to slow the enemy’s attack and destabilize the round to take advantage of having Silver Wolf. You can then rotate the skill attack into the mix.
Skill Attack
Silver Wolf can implant weaknesses on her enemies, but you can only use the special skill’s impairment on a single enemy at one time. The skill attack has a 75% chance of applying a weakness to the enemy, causing them to lose 20% resistance to element damage for two turns.
However, if you apply the weakness to the enemy who is already inflicted with it, you’ll replace the current weakness that’s ticking down.
The replacement comes with a 100% chance of reducing all resistance by 7.5% for two turns.
When you’re paired with the right characters, the weaknesses will help burn through enemy health rapidly. Playing with characters that do a lot of DoT damage is fun when you roll Silver Wolf because they work so well with her resistance-weakening abilities.
And on top of the weakness, 98% of the attacks are quantum damage.
Ultimate
Silver Wolf is awesome at debuffs and weakening her enemies, but we’re not done yet. Her Ultimate is crazy powerful with:
- 85% chance to cut an enemy’s defense by 36% for 3 turns.
- Deals 228% of the attack as quantum damage.
If you get to apply the basic, skill and Ultimate debuffs, you’ll make your enemies extremely vulnerable, and your teammates will have an awesome time inflicting massive damage.
Silver Wolf’s Passive Talents

Passive talents are often ignored and not something we consider when ranking all characters, but Silver Wolf does have a few passives that are worth mentioning and considering:
- Awaiting System Response is a passive that allows her to create “bugs.” These bugs will help reduce attack, defense and speed by 5%, 4% and 3%, respectively. When she attacks an enemy, she has a 60% chance of implanting the bug.
- Force Quit Program is a technique of Silver Wolf and has a chance of dealing 80% quantum damage to all enemies when entering battle. The technique will reduce the toughness of all enemies and ignores weakness types.
The passive abilities make Silver Wolf an amazing asset and it works to weaken enemies at nearly every chance, whether you’re hitting them with a basic attack or the Awaiting System Response implants one of the bugs.
Best Light Cones for Silver Wolf
Light cones are going to be chosen by accessibility and your play style. However, it’s impossible to ignore these light cones because they’re simply too good to pass up.
Be sure to top up on Honkai Star Rail if you can, for a chance to maximize your gameplay.
We Will Meet Again

With an awesome name like We Will Meet Again, it’s no surprise that this light cone was made for Silver Wolf. It’s a four-star cone and often what players choose when saving up for other cones because it does 40% of her normal attack to a random enemy.
Incessant Rain

Incessant Rain is a five-star light cone that is an amazing choice for boss fights. You’ll find that Silver Wolf’s hit rate improves and if Aether Code is on an enemy, they’ll be dealt more damage.
Bosses are the perfect option when using this light cone.
However, its perks don’t stop there. Incessant Rain:
- Increases hit by 24%.
- Raises crit by 12% if enemies have 3+ debuffs.
- 100% chance to apply Aether Code on a random target using a basic attack.
- 12% damage increase for one turn when a target has Aether Code applied to them.
You’ll also come across Good Night and Sleep Well and Loop, which are both light cones that are good choices. But if we had to pick just two light cones, it would be We Will Meet Again and Incessant Rain.
Once you have your light cones situated, it’s time to look towards your relics.
Best Relics for Honkai Star Rail’s Silver Wolf
Relics should focus on the best buffs and bonuses for Silver Wolf. You can choose the relics that you like and match your gameplay, but the following two are the best at the time of writing this guide.
Genius of Brilliant Stars

You’ll find this relic in the Cavern of Corrosion and it makes bosses and enemies into meat shields by allowing you to ignore their defense. The relic gets more powerful depending on how many pieces you have equipped.
- Two pieces: Increase your quantum damage by 10%.
- Four pieces: Damage ignores 10% of an enemy’s defense, and if quantum weakness is applied, an additional 10% of the enemy’s defense is ignored.
Ignoring defense is a powerful tool in boss fights and will make Silver Wolf crucial for taking down tougher bosses.
Space Sealing Station

If you’re not a fan of Genius of Brilliant Stars or simply didn’t get the set yet, you can receive the Space Sealing Station as an Immersion Reward in World 3. You’ll only have the option to have two pieces equipped at a time, and this will:
- Increase your attacks by 12%.
- Increase attack by an additional 12% when you reach speed 120+.
When you’re trying to gain tempo and wipe out weaker enemies, you’ll find this relic to be extremely helpful.
You can now move on to Eidolons, which allows for multiple copies of a character and a ton of fun to use.
Silver Wolf’s Eidolons

One of the main tips when playing Honkai Star Rail is to determine your Eidolon path. Silver Wolf has many different levels, including:
- Level 1: Social Engineering: Regain 7 energy for each debuff on your current target after using an ultimate attack. You can trigger this five times.
- Level 2: Zombie Network: Reduces resistance effect by 20% when an enemy enters the battle.
- Level 3: Payload: Boosts your skill by two, up to fifteen and the level of your talent in the same manner.
- Level 4: Bounce Attack: Deals 20% additional quantum damage after using an ultimate attack on the enemy target for each debuff that they have. You can trigger this attack five times on each use.
- Level 5: Brute Force Attack: Boosts Silver Wolf’s ultimate by two and up to fifteen and her basic attack level by one, up to a maximum of ten.
- Level 6: Overlay Network: For each debuff on an enemy, Silver Wolf will deal an additional 20% of damage up to 100%.
Eidolons are a lot of fun and help you put more pressure on enemies when it matters most. If you’ve made it this far and cannot wait to give Silver Wolf a try for yourself to see how fun she is to play, we have just a few more recommendations for you.
Character pairings.
The right pair will boost your capabilities and really maximize your output and ability to help your team. Which character pairings are the best? Let’s find out.
Best Characters to Pair with Silver Wolf
Silver Wolf is a character that a lot of people forecasted to be “broken” when added to the game because she’s a tad overpowered. You can run most groups with her as a strong addition minus a few that include something like three support and one DPS.
But she’s immensely strong and not a character that you’ll want to sleep on because you haven’t realised how truly amazing she is with the right pairing.
You’ll have loads of fun trying out the best pairings with Silver Wolf and finding which ones you prefer. However, we’ve had time to test out a lot of pairs and want to share our own experience with you on which pairs work best.
Sampo

Sampo ranks 23 on our all-time list of characters to play. His slowing skill is a lot of fun and something that allows him to put out a decent amount of damage and control. He is a great utility class on his own, but when you add Silver Wolf and Sampo together, there’s an undeniable synergy between the two.
Why?
You can use Silver Wolf to start lowering the defense of the enemy. When fighting bosses or focusing on a single target, you’ll quickly lower their defense, allowing you to inflict more damage alongside your teammates.
Sampo’s Windtorn Dagger applies a DoT to your enemies and will ramp up in damage thanks to the lower defense of the enemy.
Jing Yuan

Jing Yuan is already one of the top 3 strongest characters in the game. You can inflect a lot of burst damage with Jing Yuan, and lowering an enemy’s defense just adds to these burst abilities. You’ll start to apply pressure with your debuffs and defense-lowering, and if you can get Jing’s ultimate ability pulled off, you’ll deal 120% lightning damage without even factoring in the lower defense.
Since Jing Yuan excels when targeting multiple targets, it’s the perfect combo because Silver Wolf is a great single-target character.
Add them together and you’ll weaken your opponents and burst down enemies much faster.
Asta

Asta has a lot of buffs on her own and plays well alongside the likes of Himeko and Hook. Add in Silver Wolf, and Asta’s speed-boosting skill just makes her even more powerful. If you do want to use this pairing together, we recommend that you equip the Space Sealing Station relics.
These relics will increase Silver Wolf’s damage immensely and then stack with Asta’s speed-enhancing abilities.
You’ll want to experiment with this combo and see what you think about it for yourself.
Another composition that you may want to try, and a lot of people are experimenting with, is:
- Himeko and Silver Wolf because the fire attacks of Himeko allow you to attack the enemy’s Toughness more.
- Seele is another great fit because of her quantum-focused attack damage and single-target prowess.

Honkai Star Rail is loads of fun, and if this patch has shown us anything, it’s that the developers are dedicated to making the game even better. You have a lot to explore with this update that goes beyond just Silver Wolf.
You’ll want to watch more gameplay and gain insights into the addition to the game by watching streamers on Twitch and YouTube.
