It is the time of virtual reality with Oculus Rift and HTC Vive dominating the mainstream news with VR experiences that’s actually worthy of its hype.
However, most of these VR experiences are still relegated to at-home usages and if you ever want to bring your VR equipment around, you’ll need to bring the gear plus the entire desktop along to run it.
Not the Samsung Gear VR though, which gives portability for virtual reality by using a Samsung phone with a VR gear headset. But how does it fare in the real world? If you’re curious, the Verge did an in-depth look at the real world application of a portable VR and the results are quite humorous.
