If Minecraft Was Rebuilt With Unreal Engine 4, It Would Look Like This

YouTuber John Alcatraz has always wondered, just as many had, how would Minecraft looked like if it was built and ran on the Unreal Engine 4. Rather than continue to ponder about it, he decided to do exactly that and created a video showing off his work.

Now, do note that since Minecraft is a licensed property, John Alcatraz had to alter his project name so as to not get in trouble with Mojang and Microsoft. However, the point of the project was not to recreate Minecraft in its entirety, but rather, to show off how similarly typed games can look when creating in the powerful Unreal Engine.

It’s highly unlikely that Mojang would ever transition Minecraft into a new engine anytime soon give its success. We can, at least, imagine the possibility of Minecraft 2 being in Unreal Engine 4 if Mojang or Microsoft ever decides to do so.
