Are you ready for the future of gaming? It seems like many gaming giants are following the footsteps of Nintendo, now PlayStation is developing their own handheld console – Project Q.
What is Project Q?
Project Q is a device with an 8-inch screen that lets you play PlayStation 5 games using Sony’s Remote Play system, streaming them from your PS5 over Wi-Fi. In other words, you can essentially play-on-the-go. There’s a catch though: it still has a long way to go to become a cloud gaming device.
How does it work?
Project Q will only work with an internet connection with at least 5 Mbps. In order to play your games, they need to be downloaded on your PS5.
If you’re onboard with the idea of being able to play your PS games whenever you are, this is a good time to go digital. You can head on over to OffGamers to get your PlayStation Store Gift Cards and buy games on the PlayStation Store. So when Project Q is out, you are ready to play all those games on your console.
Will PlayStation Plus Subscription be available on Project Q?
Considering that the PlayStation Plus subscription allows you to download and play certain games for a limited-time, we will have to see where Sony is headed in terms of Project Q and their PlayStation Plus subscription service.
Does PlayStation have a Cloud Gaming Service?
PlayStation originally has a cloud-based service known as PS Now, but it has since been merged into the PlayStation Plus Premium subscription. Our bet is that it might be worth it to upgrade your PS Plus subscription plan to the Premium tier. So you will be able to enjoy the cloud gaming experience on your Project Q when it comes out. This could be the new way of gaming.
Are you moved by the notion of being able to play PS games on-the-go? You can start by building your digital game library and get a PlayStation Plus Premium subscription. Good news is with our PlayStation Store Gift Card, you can get your games and the subscription using our gift card.
