Meet the man of the day (or should I say ghost), Unbound Thresh. If you haven’t heard already, this is part of League of Legend’s upcoming event ‘Sentinels of Light’. It also adds that Sentinels of Light will be based on official lore, which means that whatever occurs during the event will have long-term consequences for the world of Runeterra and beyond. This event and its storyline will eventually lead into the next turn-based role-playing game, Ruined King, which will be published later this year. Prepare to join the fight against the Black Mist as the Sentinels of Light event kicks off on Thursday, July 8 with League Patch 11.14.
So hold up, what does it have to do with Thresh? Unbound Thresh a new skin coming to League of Legends as part of the upcoming event. It makes sense that Thresh is getting a skin to show some kind of character development, as did with Sentinel Vayne and Pantheon. But Thresh’s new skin does not seem to be in-line with his character. He used to be a skull-faced ghost with a hook and chain that sows fear. Now he looks like he has got abs and that bad boy smile, why? We need to know why.

I’m mainly upset about some of the champs’ chosen for a LORE skinline but this design really misses what’s special about the canon, actual character of Thresh.
