Legendary Pokémon Were Taken Away By Niantic Labs In Pokémon GO
Recently, Kotaku reported that some players were able to capture one of the three legendary Pokémon, Articuno. Of course, many were sceptical of such discovery as fakes have been posted before.
Turns out, it was true, as Niantic Labs released a statement to IGN claiming that they have taken Articuno away from the number of Pokémon GO players.
The reads as follow:
“We recently noticed that a few Legendary Pokémon got into a few accounts when they shouldn’t have. To preserve the game’s integrity and as a measure of fairness, we have rectified the situation and revoked the legendary Pokémon from the Trainers’ accounts.”
Legendary Pokémon has not been officially released by Niantic Labs which is why when reports of a player in Ohio capturing the first legendary Pokémon sent other players in a fervour to find a legendary Pokémon themselves. Looks like we’re still long ways away from getting legendary Pokémon such as Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres.
