DONTNOD’s Life is Strange: Episode One is now free indefinitely to download on consoles and PC, starting from July 21 onwards. To celebrate making the first episode free, a new trailer was released by DONTNOD and publisher Square Enix.

DONTNOD chief executive Oskar Guilbert talked with Gamespot regarding the reception of Life is Strange and the episode going free, stating, “Although our team set out to create an award-winning narrative we still cannot believe the response we’ve had from players of Life is Strange“.
“We’re really glad that Square Enix has decided to give the first episode away for free so more players can begin their journey and see why people have fallen in love with the game themselves.”
Critics praised and loved the story and setting of Life is Strange which captures the “essence of early adulthood” and led to numerous awards for the episodic adventure game.
Life is Strange: Episode One is now available to download for free on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Mac and PC.
