Lost Soul Aside Is A FFXV Inspired Game Made By One Man
When Square Enix debuted footage for Final Fantasy XV, many were impressed by the graphics and visuals of the game. Yang Bing, a Korean indie game developer, thought to himself that the game was so beautiful, he wanted to make a game just like Final Fantasy XV.
And that’s exactly what he did, all by himself, with Lost Soul Aside.
Most of the time, when you hear indie developers taking inspirations from AAA games, you figured it’ll be something simple and short (just like the Destiny 2D platformer). Well, think again. Created entirely in Unreal Engine 4, Bing’s game is graphically and visually comparable to Final Fantasy XV.
Heck, if you put them side-by-side, you might think that both games are being made by Square Enix. If you haven’t seen the trailer for the game, check it out below:
And now for the bad news. The game is still in prototype stages and Bing himself is unsure on which platform to release Lost Soul Aside, if and when it is finished. However, given the fact that Bing has been working on the game for two years and managed to churn out a trailer, he’s probably doing a lot better than Square Enix with Final Fantasy XV.
Lost Soul Aside has no official release date or platform but you can check out Yang Bing’s twitter for updates. Final Fantasy XV will come to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 30th.
