Mad Max Video Game Review

Mad Max is a third-person action-adventure vehicular combat video game set in a dystopian open world that’s based on the Mad Max film series. It is developed by Avalanche Studios and published by Warner Bros. The game is available on Microsoft Windows (Steam), Linux, Xbox One and Playstation 4.

On the PC platform, the graphics in Mad Max is pretty awesome, and, unlike so many better games released this year, runs spectacularly on PC. It’s as if the creators had plenty of time to polish the polish. Unfortunately, Mad Max, a game that is actively compact, is like a teenager with big ideas about how the world works but without the vocabulary nor confidence to express them. That’s the main flaw in this game.

Meanwhile on the Playstation platform, the controls are even worse at making the players feel connected to the world. In the game, players will use L1 to aim and the O button to shoot, which is off-putting but reasonable, given that you spend so much time driving, and the triggers are used for braking and acceleration. However, when using the sniper rifle the players will use R2 to fire. (Why?)

Despite that, Mad Max is still a nice game for gamers to own and play, with a promising vehicle combat and storyline.
