Mastering PUBG Mobile’s Top 3 Maps in 2022
Map 1: Erangel
Mastering Erangel is crucial because it’s the first-ever map in PUBG. Original players have learned to master the map and will obliterate new players who are just getting started and have no idea what to do.
First and foremost, there are 11 main areas that you’ll want to uncover. The areas of the map all have their own risks, and they include:
- Georgopol
- North West of Lipovka
- Novorepnoye
- Quarry
- Rozhok
- Sosnova Military Base
- Stalber
- The Bunkers
- The Crater southwest of Lipovka
- The Villas
- West of Novorepnoye
Erangel Docks has a lot of great loot opportunities, and each building should be approached uniquely. Over time, you’ll learn the best tactics and approaches for each area, but there is something else that can help you: landing locations.
If you can, you’ll want to land at one of the following locations:
- Crater
- Georgopol
- Prison
- School
- Stalber
However, there’s much more to the map than just landing in the right spot and hoping to win. Throughout many games, we’ve devised our own tips and strategies that can help you improve the odds of getting Chicken Dinner.
Strategies for Chicken Dinner in Erangel
Erangel is a map where you really want to use a vehicle. Certain maps, such as Sanhok, are better when you leave vehicles behind. But Erangel is a massive zone with wide-open spaces that will leave you susceptible to being killed.
Snipers will wait for new players to enter these open zones and take them out. Vehicles will help.
Ideally, you’ll want to hop in the first Dune buggy you see, but really any vehicle will do. The buggies are the best though, so be on the lookout for them.
Once you understand that without a vehicle, you’re putting yourself at risk, it’s time to go and add to your weapon arsenal. Since the map has a lot of open space, we recommend using the following weapons:
- Sniper rifle (for more skilled players)
- Long-range weapons
And while you may be tempted to pick up an LMG or SMG, they should only be used as a last resort. Since you need to snipe and kill people from afar, we recommend heading over to Stabler, which is the highest elevation on the map.
Also, in 90% of cases, there will be a DMR or sniper rifle waiting at the location.
Polyana is a good option, too, and it’s almost always crowded. You can often get a few quick frags in this location, which is in the south. Snipers always seem to target Polyana because it’s just ripe with new players waiting to be killed.
Finally, you’ll want to know where the best loot locations are. We’ve found that the areas offering up the best loot are:
- Military base found on the southern island
- Rozhok school
- Hospital in Pochinki
Of course, if you reach the prison areas, you’ll also find some great opportunities to loot items. And thanks to a recent patch, a slew of docks have been added to the map. You’ll find the docks along the shoreline in the southern beach, Ferry Pier and Novorepnoye.
Great visual appeal was added with the docks, but the main reason to go to this location is because of the great loot available.
Map 2: Vikendi
Vikendi is one of the most beautiful maps in the game that is snow-covered and spans a 6km-by-6km space. What’s really nice about this map is that you have access to the Vikendi Train Lines. The lines make it easier to travel to the many stations on the map, but you do have to be prepared to be targeted in these areas.
Two internal train lines and multiple trains make the area a warzone.
You’ll have drive-by kills and a lot of ambushing going on. If you’re unlucky, you’ll walk into one of the train carriages and enter a massive battle. One key tip is that there are trains that will go to the map’s border. Border trains are an excellent way to traverse the map early in the game, but later in the game, you’ll leave the play area if you use the border trains.
However, before you start jumping on the train and taking people out, it’s crucial to know where to land. Our top landing spot recommendations are:
- The warehouse in Goroka’s southern region
- Milnar
- Port
- Vihar
You’ll also want to try out the secret cave, small church and Trevno, too.
Goroka is the best landing spot because of the buildings and landscapes, based on my own opinion. A nice landing in this area lets you get on buildings and take out other players. Additionally, there is a ton of loot in the buildings. Run through the buildings; pick up attachments and loot along the way.
Due to the location of Goroka, you’ll be able to stay in the area for long periods before needing to go closer to the city.
One pro tip is to be very cautious of the frozen lake.
Why?
If you get spotted by a sniper, there’s nowhere to hide on the lake.
However, if you want to go on the offensive and start getting some kills of your own, there’s a great place in Vikendi to land kills – the winery. Also, if you get to the winery fast enough, you’ll notice that there are a lot of sheds. Run into these sheds and find the ones that have a wine cellar attached.
Wine cellars are a great way to gear up and are the main reason why the winery is a great spot to land kills. However, people will camp out in the wine cellars and wait for an easy kill, too. So, if you get here early, you might be the one camping out.
Strategies for Chicken Dinner in Vikendi
We’ve already explored a few strategies for getting Chicken Dinner in Vikendi, but we’re just scratching the surface. A few additional tips that can go a long way in ensuring that you get Chicken Dinner in PUBG Mobile’s Vikendi map are:
- If you’re looking for good loot early on in the game, you’ll need to land in populated areas.
- Vehicles aren’t an excellent option for Vikendi. If you’re with a squad, be sure to move together to stay better protected.
- Footprints in the snow are a good lure for an ambush.
- Finally, if you’re looking for loot, the winery and abbey are great options. Wine cellars are packed with loot, but you’ll also find a lot of enemies waiting to ambush you. There’s a secret loot cave with a lot of goodies, too.
- You’ll find the secret loot cave has the best overall loot quality on the map and a relatively small amount of risk.
- Cosmodrome has a ton of great gear to pick up, but you won’t find that the quality is quite as high as a military camp.
Of course, there are many other places to explore that will have good loot. But if you’re looking for loot, you can be confident that others will be in these areas looking for loot, too. Be prepared to be ambushed in the best loot areas.
Map 3: Sanhok
Sanhok is truly a special map because it’s filled with trees and greenery. Depending on the map, it may or may not have rain and fog, too. Fog is a neat addition to this small jungle map because it adds an extra layer of protection for players.
After all, if you can’t easily see a person due to fog and they can see you, be prepared to be sniped.
When you pick a landing location, it’s highly recommended that you pick from one of the following areas:
- Bootcamp
- Cave
- Pai Nan
- Paradise resort
- Ruins
The Ruins are, in our opinion, the best place to land because it is filled with great loot. When in the ruins, you’ll find loads of high-tier weapons and even level 2 loot supplies. Attachments and other goodies are in the area, too.
Since you’re newer to the game or just trying to get Chicken Dinner, you’ll love the ruins because they’re a little difficult to traverse. Also, players can’t really rush into the ruins, so you’re less likely to find yourself being camped.
However, if you do want to rush the ground floor, throw a few grenades because there are only two entries and exits.
Paradise Resort has some level-3 supplies and loot, but there will be a lot of players up on the rooftops shooting on players down below. Due to the high threat of professional players taking you out in this area, it’s best to leave Paradise Resort alone until you have more experience.
Strategies for Chicken Dinner in Sanhok
Sanhok is one of the maps where you’ll want to avoid vehicles. However, you will find loot trucks that have a lot of great loot. Shoot at the trucks and loot will drop. If you manage to destroy the truck, you’ll be filled with high-end loot.
Four trucks are on the map, but up to eight can spawn.
One of the main issues with targeting trucks is that you’ll need to shoot at the trucks to destroy them. Unfortunately, weapons make noise, and other players will have a much easier time finding you when you’re blasting away at a truck.
Note: You cannot steal one of these trucks, so don’t even try.
A few other tips that will help you begin to master Sanhok include:
- Due to the map’s size, which is much smaller than the others, you’ll find that blue zones happen often, and red zones last for a much shorter period of time.
- The QBZ95 assault rifle spawns on the map and offers a great, powerful weapon. However, don’t take your chance at dying just to get this rifle. Instead, stick to the smaller areas and you’ll eventually find this rifle, which spawns significantly more often than the SCAR rifle.
- Avoid vehicles at all costs because they’ll put a major target on your back. The map is small, so there’s no need to jump in a vehicle. However, in emergencies where you’re close to dying or being ambushed, a vehicle may be your only escape.
- Trees and rocks are going to be your main point of cover. Learn to use these key coverings to stay hidden and out of view of your enemies. Stealth kills and not staying out in the open will improve your odds of Chicken Dinner.
Finally, while we mentioned some of the best loot spots for starting out, you’ll also find great loot at Camp Alpha, Bravo and Charlie. Bootcamp, Quarry, Ban Tai and Mongnai are all great options for loot.
Small towns and settlements also offer up good loot.
Final Recommendations for Getting Chicken Dinner in PUBG Mobile
PUBG Mobile is a game that requires a lot of practice. You’ll find that practice really makes perfect. You may have pure luck and get Chicken Dinner quickly, but most people will need to practice.
