Mighty No. 9 Goes Gold And Will Ship In June 2016
The long in production and oft-delayed Mighty No. 9 by developer Keiji Inafune has finally gone gold. A post from Inafune himself on Mighty No. 9‘s website confirms that production has completed on the side-scrolling action platformer
In the message, Inafune states that Mighty No. 9 will see its release for North American and Asian audiences on June 21st and the rest of the world on June 24th.
The spiritual successor to Mega Man was initially conceived as a Kickstarter project and managed to raise $3.8 million from fans. A string of development troubles caused Mighty No. 9 to suffer multiple delays, missing its original April 2015 release.
Now, Mighty No. 9 will finally see its release a year past its original release date. The PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS versions, however, will release “at a later point”.
Mighty No. 9 will release on June 21st for North America and Asia and June 24th for the rest of the world. It will launch on PlayStation 4 Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii U, and Xbox 360.
