Pokemon Unite, the recent free-to-start strategic Pokemon team battle game announced by The Pokemon Company, Tencent, and Timi Studios, has received a new batch of screenshots. The images were apparently leaked on Chinese social media. Check them out below:
The screenshots show a few new things. We’re able to get a look at more Pokemon in the game (including the confirmation of Gen 8 Pokemon) and a trainer customization system. It seems there are plans for limited season costumes that can be earned when you receive a ranking in the seasonal battle league.
In Pokemon Unite, players face off against each other in five-on-five team battles. During these battles, players will cooperate with teammates to catch wild Pokemon, level up and evolve their own Pokemon. They will need to defeat their opponents’ Pokemon while trying to earn more points than the opposing team within the allotted time.
An internal test for Pokemon Unite will supposedly be happening in August. A full release may follow in Spring 2021. For now, an official release date hasn’t been announced.
